Philip Nix is an award-winning and internationally published photographer, director, and filmmaker based in New York City.

A Southern native, Philip earned his BFA in Photography before moving to New York to pursue his creative career. Since then Philip has created photography and film advertising campaigns, published editorials, and personal projects falling in and out of the genres of travel, documentary, portraiture, automotive, and lifestyle.

As a director and filmmaker, Philip creates films that exist as emotional worlds, interweaving resonant narratives with a spontaneous documentary edge, and consistently works at the helm of all aspects of production including cinematography, editing, coloring, and music composition.

Through evocative, cinematic visuals and a commitment to elevate and honor the people and places he encounters, Philip’s passion lies in impactful storytelling from across the globe, with work spanning over 18 countries.
